Vibration Damping Shell Mill Holders - Steadyline®
The Steadyline® vibration damping shell-mill holders provide highly efficient performance in a variety of applications. The EPB 5556 conical-reinforced shape maximizes the rigidity of the holder, to achieve high static and up to three times greater dynamic rigidity than equivalent solid holders. When the accessibility to the machining area does not allow conical holders, the EPB 5555 cylindrical shape provides an excellent compromise between strong rigidity and accessibility.
This enables machining over 5xD overhang with cutting speeds similar to short assemblies, increasing depth of cut by up to 3 times compared to classic long holders. The holders are ready to use and offer the dampened advantages regardless of the type of machining operation, number of teeth in the cutter or workpiece material. Each type features multi-channel coolant supply through the spigot.
